Our first pilot program will take place from October to November 2026. It will run one day each week for eight weeks.
The Healing Farm pilot is a small group program held in a quiet, private setting in the southern Carmel region.
The program combines group learning, nature, animals, practical and creative activities, and connection with other participants.
Group sessions will help participants develop greater awareness and understanding of their responses to stress and trauma, recognize the effects of triggers, and learn practical strategies for managing them. The focus is on living in the present and looking toward the future.
Participants will not be asked or encouraged to describe traumatic events in detail. Processing past trauma is not part of the program.
The program is not medical, psychiatric or psychological treatment. We do not provide diagnosis, medical advice or psychotherapy.
The setting includes gentle horses, a donkey, a dog and chickens. Participants will have opportunities to spend time with the animals and take part in other physical, practical and creative activities. Activities with horses do not involve riding.
The pilot is for English-speaking IDF veterans experiencing the effects of combat-related trauma.
Before joining the program, each applicant will have an individual suitability and safety conversation with us to make sure that participation is appropriate for them.
We will ask participants for general feedback about their experience, including what they found helpful or unhelpful. Feedback will not identify individual participants.
What we learn will help us improve and develop future Healing Farm programs.
